Over time, glass exposed to water, heat and moisture can be corroded by altering its natural transparency and aesthetics. Anti-limescale glass is a product designed to prevent corrosive processes and limit the formation of limescale on the surface of the glass due to exposure to these external agents.
This is allowed by a special invisible coating, which leaves the transparency of the glass unchanged and is extremely resistant to abrasion. It does not deteriorate and retains its properties over time, acting as a durable protective barrier. It can be the basis of additional water-repellent treatments, which allows better adhesion and resistance.
The characteristics of anti-limescale glass facilitate cleaning operations and make it a modern and comfortable product. For this reason, the most common applications are the boxes and shower enclosures and the wall coverings around the tank, but thanks to its high resistance over time to corrosion it is also used in the naval field.
Anti-lithiccare glass is easily processed by glassworks with common techniques, it can be subjected to hardening and bending, assembled in laminated safety glass, as well as silk-screened also on the side of the coating.
